Two Years Diploma

Interior Design Diploma

Two Year Diploma Overview

Designers’ Institute provides a two-year diploma in Interior Designing. The course gives the necessary skills and knowledge in both the general and expert aspects of interior design. This two-year diploma also involves integrating abilities to the accessible materials, constructing methods and the essential components and design principles. Students further calibrate their design abilities through computer-aided design. Our two-year diploma in Interior Design prepares students for the aesthetics of working with interiors. Our curriculum covers designing home and commercial spaces, their structural appearances, and conceptual development.

Essential Information

The two year Interior Design diploma helps students explore the interior built environment. The program integrates technological, practical, analytical, materials, and artistic methods of design. There is strong importance on critical reasoning, objective learning, and cultural/environmental awareness. In the first year, primary exposure is provided to the basic history and principles of interior designing. Students are introduced to designs across residential and commercial spaces through our flexible curriculum.

The course also concentrates on developing the sensory-perceptual skills, learning materials, media, and techniques. The advanced diploma intents to give the student a common platform to learn to design. In the course, learners will learn a wide range of technical, design, and presentation contexts. With a deep understanding, students can use this knowledge to design complex spaces.

The third and fourth semesters will develop more in-depth knowledge and skills needed for interior designing. We help students learn the value of creating and conceptualizing the design ideation through experiments. The emphasis is to create designs that are as per market trends. Students learn to apply their learned knowledge in the course to the current commercial practices and market demands. This encourages students to create a style of their own. In a two-year interior design course, students are required to implement the knowledge gained in the first two semesters for their commercial designs later.
